Reference Lists
Reference lists are tables containing data that should be flagged when detected in the workflow. This article describes how reference lists are used in workflows, what types are available, and how their values can be created and maintained.
Usage
Reference lists can be used as both blacklists and whitelists. If a match is found, the session reflects the match, and the workflow logic can execute configured actions. For example, if a user accesses the workflow from an undesirable IP address, the session can be terminated, the session status can be changed, or the user can be asked to perform additional actions.
A workflow can contain any number of reference lists. Each list has a set of rules based on whether a match has been found.
Types
Reference lists can be of the following types:
| Type | Description |
|---|---|
| IP address | Specifies ranges of IP addresses. |
| Specifies email domains. | |
| Location | Provides locations in the form of Region/Country/City. |
| Photo | Creates a list of biometric photos. |
| General | Contains text-based data that does not fit any of the other types, for example, lists of document IDs, device IDs, names, phone numbers, etc. |
Creating and Maintaining
You can manage reference lists separately outside of the workflow. Multiple reference lists of the same type can exist at the same time.
Once integrated, reference lists can be reviewed and maintained without further workflow adjustments if the list itself is updated.
You can create values in reference lists one by one or in bulk by uploading a CSV file.
