Release 3.9 — August 3, 2026
Case Management
This release introduces Case Management, a new IDV Platform module that centralizes cases requiring manual review.
By integrating Case Management directly into the IDV Platform, organizations can move from reactive incident handling to proactive, transparent, and auditable risk management throughout the customer lifecycle.
What is Case Management?
Case Management provides analysts with a unified workspace for reviewing customer data and checks that require manual attention. Each Case explains why a review is required and provides the information needed to make a decision or request additional checks.
Every action records the user, timestamp, and rationale, creating an audit trail that can be provided to regulators.
How does it work?
Cases are created through a Case creation action added to a Workflow step. To configure Case creation, add the action at the relevant point in the Workflow based on the check result that should trigger a manual review.
For example, if company policy requires manual review of AML/PEP matches, add a Case creation action to the AML/PEP check step. When a match is flagged, the Platform automatically creates a Case. Compliance officers can then review flagged verifications instead of checking every new verification manually.
The Case creation action has two configurable parameters: Title and Description. Both can include session data, such as the first name, date of birth, ID number, and other details.
Microsoft Entra Verified ID Integration
Microsoft Entra Verified ID is a verifiable credentials service within the Microsoft Entra product family. It enables organizations to issue and verify trusted digital credentials containing attested claims about a verified person.
The new integration connects Microsoft Entra Verified ID with the Regula IDV Platform, enabling organizations to build an end-to-end identity verification solution. For detailed instructions, see Integration with Microsoft Entra Verified ID.
Requirements
- A Microsoft Entra tenant
- Regula IDV Platform with the MS Entra Enrollment and MS Entra Verification workflows configured
- A digital wallet for the end user, such as Microsoft Authenticator
How does it work?
For clients and end users, the process follows a standard enrollment and verification flow. Under the hood, Profile storage and management take place within the Microsoft Entra tenant. This approach is particularly suitable for organizations that already use the Microsoft ecosystem.
mDL Support in IDV Workflows
IDV workflows now support reading mobile driver’s licenses (mDLs) through Regula Document Reader. Both QR code and NFC reading are available.
Active-Active Deployment
IDV Platform can now be deployed in an active-active configuration.
An active-active setup provides high availability by allowing two or more data centers to process requests simultaneously. All participating servers remain online, while Global Server Load Balancing (GSLB) distributes traffic across the data centers. Data is synchronized asynchronously between them.
